Write for us

We welcome considered pitches about Western sport, especially ideas that help readers understand a game through its place, traditions or history. A strong proposal has a clear subject and offers something beyond a match recap.

What we are looking for

Pitch accessible explainers, well-framed comparisons, sporting histories, accounts of local customs or thoughtful guides to following and taking part in a game. We welcome different forms and points of view, provided the piece is accurate, original and suited to curious general readers.

Make the pitch specific

Tell us the working idea, the central point you want readers to take away, why it suits Western Sports Network and what information or perspective you would bring. Note any relevant sources or potential conflicts. A focused proposal is more useful than a broad offer to write about sport.
